My motto is I'm not afraid of any man, one woman, and sharks but Derek is so professional we caught a lot of sharks loved it can't wait till next year. Maybe tuna?? How many 80 year olds can say that?

Went out with Captain Derek and could not have had a better time. Took us to some great spots for viewing and fishing. We brought along a young kid and was not sure how he would handle the trip. Derek was fantastic with him, really going out of his way to make sure he was involved and had a good experience. Despite it being a slow day we found some really good spots and pulled out a few stripers. Will definitely be returning with a few friends.

My brothers, father and I had an absolute blast chartering with Apex Charters for a morning of striper fishing. We all landed at least one, and apparently it was a “bad day”. I can’t imagine what a good day is like! Look forward to making it an annual event.”

Had a great time with Apex Charters! Went out with my 13 and 18 year old and got into the stripers all morning. Great memories to last a lifetime. Went out first thing and caught mackerel for bait. Headed in shore and everyone caught some nice stripers. Can't wait to go back!

Fishing trips with Derek at Apex Charters are always a great time for our family. Derek makes the kids feel safe and comfortable while out on the water and is very patient and attentive with them throughout the trip. We all look forward to returning each year for a fun adventure with Derek, enjoying the sun, ocean, and of course, fishing! We have made these trips an annual tradition and plan to return for years to come.

We book a trip with Apex each summer we come to Maine. The first year we went on a 2hr charter my son and I were nervous how we would like it. Loved it and have done a 4hr charter every year since. Derek has been an amazing teacher and mentor on the ocean if not having any action in one spot on trip Derek will take us to another spot while giving us tour of Maine coasts explaining different building and landmarks. We look forward to coming back each year.

APEX Charters is absolutely the best charter to book in lower Maine. Derek Peters knows the coast extremely well and his boat is nice and well-equipped. I have striper fished for decades in Maine and Massachusetts, both surf and on charters. I have had some of my best catches with APEX and will charter only with APEX now when in Maine. In addition to putting you on fish, Derek has a great personality that makes the day very enjoyable as well. Go with APEX.
